‘La bohème’ at The Metropolitan Opera

Later this autumn, Stephen Costello is set to reprise his performances of Rodolfo in Franco’s Zeffirelli’s time-honored production of La bohème at The Metropolitan Opera. He appeared in the same role with the company last season where critics commended his “endearingly boyish” performance and “lean and elegant” tenor voice.

The outstanding cast will also feature Anita Hartig as Mimì,  Alexey Markov as Marcello, Heidi Stober as Musetta, Rodion Pogossov as Schaunard, Krzysztof Bączyk as Colline, and Donald Maxwell as Benoit/Alcindoro. Maestro Carlo Rizzi leads from the podium.

Mr. Costello’s performances are scheduled for November 5, 10, 13, 17, 21, 25, December 1,& January 4,8 & 13.
