2022 Richard Tucker Gala

On November 13, Stephen Costello will perform as a featured soloist in the 2022 Richard Tucker Gala, taking place in David Geffen Hall’s new Wu Tsai Theater at New York’s Lincoln Center. Mr. Costello won the prestigious Richard Tucker Award in 2009.

In memory of American tenor Richard Tucker, this annual gala showcases the talent of today’s operatic legends in support of The Tucker Foundation which is dedicated to nurturing the careers of talented young American opera singers through awards, grants, performance opportunities, and more.

This year’s gala will celebrate American soprano Angel Blue who has been named the 2022 winner of The Richard Tucker Award. The concert will also feature some of the foundation’s other past award winners and grant recipients including Joyce DiDonato, Christine Goerke, Ryan Speedo Green, Angela Meade, Nadine Sierra, Russell Thomas, Christian Van Horn and Michael Fabiano. Speranza Scappucci conducts members of the Metropolitan Opera Orchestra and New York Choral Society in this not-to-miss performance.
