2023 Richard Tucker Gala
On October 29, Stephen Costello will perform in the 2023 Richard Tucker Gala on the Perelman Stage at Carnegie Hall. A frequent guest at the annual gala which raises funds to support the career advancement of talented young American opera singers, Costello was named the Richard Tucker Award Winner in 2009.
Costello will share the stage with a phenomenal group of past award winners and special guests: tenor Ben Bliss (2015 Career Grant Recipient), soprano Angel Blue (2022 Richard Tucker Award Winner), baritone Quinn Kelsey (2005 Study Grant Recipient and 2006 Career Grant Recipient), soprano Federica Lombardi, soprano Angela Meade (2011 Richard Tucker Award Winner), soprano Ailyn Pérez (2012 Richard Tucker Award Winner), tenor Matthew Polenzani (2004 Richard Tucker Award Winner), soprano Liv Redpath, and bass-baritone Christian Van Horn (2018 Richard Tucker Award Winner).
