Beethoven’s 9th Symphony at the Tanglewood Festival
On August 20, Stephen Costello will grace the stage as the tenor soloist in a captivating performance of Beethoven’s iconic Symphony No. 9 at the prestigious Tanglewood Festival. The quartet of exceptional vocal soloists also includes soprano Amanda Majeski, mezzo-soprano J’Nai Bridges, and bass Jongmin Park. Guided by the baton of the esteemed conductor Susanna Mälkki, this monumental masterpiece will be brought to life by the exceptional talents of the Tanglewood Music Center Orchestra and the renowned Tanglewood Festival Chorus.
The afternoon’s program will also feature Tippett’s Five Spirituals from A Child of Our Time, conducted by James Burton.
